I like biking because it’s easy, affordable, accessible and fun. I also think it addresses a number of major issues, from our national obesity epidemic to dependency on oil to global warming. Fortunately, those issues are not what this blog is about.
The past few years I’ve met a number of people who want to bike more often but, for one reason or another, just don’t. This blog is about them.
My goal is to equip people with the information they need to feel comfortable biking all trips within three miles of their home. I’ll address the questions and fears I’ve heard and had related to cycling. If there’s one thing I know, it’s that there’s no use telling people how great biking is if they don’t feel confident, safe, or prepared to do it. At the top of each post you’ll see the fear or excuse somebody shared with me that inspired the post.
Yes, I think biking could solve the world’s problems, but first, let’s start with yours.
